<description>So, you guys may know me ;).

I was reading this article in particularly because I, too, have suffered from shin splints throughout my life. I&#039;ve grown up playing sports and always found my problem to be the most problematic during soccer season. Recently I have vowed not to run in the city due to the hard compact ground (ie: pavement). I was considering buying new running shoes, which I still desperately need to do, since I thought that was the bulk of the problem.

You guys have me thinking so differently about things. I never, EVER considered that my shin splints may be (partly) due to my super tight hip-flexors. What a concept!! Thanks for the great read and yet another insight to the world of kinesiology :)
