The Gold Standard in Fascia Stretch Therapy.
Â
Discover the story, vision, and community behind a movement that brings the body, mind, and spirit into harmonious alignment.
A brief history of STW.
Â
Ann Frederick’s passion for movement began at a young age, immersing herself in ballet, tap, and tumbling classes. By seven, she was deeply involved in her mother’s dance studio, dedicating six days a week to her craft. At eleven, Ann experienced a profound realization: her purpose was to blend her love for the art and science of human movement, creating a revolutionary approach to stretching and flexibility.
This calling led her to develop Fascia Stretch Therapy™, a method that transcends traditional techniques by integrating the body’s natural rhythms and fostering a deep mind-body connection. Her husband, Chris Frederick, a physical therapist with a rich background in dance and movement, joined her in this journey. Together, they established the Stretch to Win® Institute, training practitioners worldwide in FST™ and inspiring a holistic approach to wellness.

Robert Glean
Level 3 Medical FST Specialist
Â
FULL BIO
Robert Glean
Â
Robert is a registered massage therapist, fascial stretch therapist, and movement educator that is not like any other manual therapist. He promotes tissue health with proper assessment, positioning and movement. Essentially, the body needs to learn how to function through arranged movement patterns. People are quickly forgetting what it means to move without pain or to have range of motion without muscle tension. Robert uses his knowledge of combining fascial stretch therapy, neurological tests, muscle tests, vision training, functional movement, and manual therapy to unlock the very threat and pain responses that prevent people from moving better, feeling better, and thinking clearly with more energy. Robert’s experience with integrating this approach of therapies has widely ranged from young children, all athletes (in sports such as soccer, basketball, tennis, CrossFit, golf, baseball) both amateur to Olympic, a variety of neurological challenges within people with CP, MS, Parkinson’s, Concussions, Spinal Cord Injuries, Stroke, Dystonia, Clippers, etc.), to basically anyone that wants to feel like themselves again so that they can add play to their lives and family.

Matthew Hoogveld
Level 2 FST, D.O.M.P, B. Kinesiology
Â
FULL BIO
Matthew Hoogveld
Â
Matthew studied at the University of British Columbia Okanagan and graduated with distinction from the Canadian School of Osteopathy. With over a decade of experience in Kinesiology, he works with athletes, infants, and individuals navigating complex conditions including chronic pain, digestive concerns, neurological patterns, and recovery from injury.
Matthew integrates FST into his osteopathic practice to restore mobility, decompress joints, and improve fluid movement throughout the body. By working with the fascial system as a connected, three-dimensional network, he treats the body as an entire unit, addressing the cause of dysfunction rather than simply chasing the source of pain.
At the core of his philosophy is a simple motto: be who he needed when he was younger. His care is person-centred, intentional, and rooted in the belief that movement after treatment is essential. Hands-on work opens the door, but conscious movement helps the brain feel safe again. This transition from table to floor to standing reinforces new patterns, builds resilience, and allows clients to return to work, sport, and the activities they love with confidence.
